The sunshine here is no joke. Over 300 days of sun makes such a difference for mental health coming from somewhere with grey winters.

The Calgary International Film Festival is genuinely world-class.

Take
this with a grain of salt but if you're looking for things to do when it's freezing outside, the escape rooms in Calgary are a solid option. Did one in Springbank Hill last week and had a blast.

Love seeing all the new independent businesses popping up in Inglewood and Kensington. Support local! These are the places that give Calgary its character.

Thanks everyone! Yoga studios in Calgary range from beginner-friendly to advanced. If you're just starting out, try Blink in Cranston. Really welcoming instructors who don't judge.

Hope that helps.

Cell phone bills in Calgary are still too high compared to other countries but the deals are getting better. BYOD plans are the way to go - don't finance through a carrier.

Grocery bills have been insane lately. We've switched to a combination of Costco, No Frills, and the Asian supermarkets for better prices. Still spending more than a year ago though.

If you're driving Deerfoot during rush hour, my pro tip: take Barlow or Macleod as alternatives. Slightly longer distance but way less stress. Deerfoot at 5pm is basically a parking lot.
