We're in Elbow Park and honestly the only downside is the commute to downtown. But if you work from home or work in the south, it's absolutely perfect.

Watching the game at Trolley 5 tonight. Nothing beats Flames game night in Calgary. The whole city comes alive.

For brunch, nothing beats Sky 360. The lineup can be long on weekends but the food is worth every minute of waiting. Their eggs benedict is legendary.

My EV handles Calgary winters surprisingly well. The range drops about 30% in -20 but I charge at home overnight so it's not an issue for my daily commute. Zero regrets.

If you're looking for things to do when it's freezing outside, the escape rooms in Calgary are a solid option. Did one in Lake Bonavista last week and had a blast.

Good luck!

If you're in tech and considering Calgary - the talent competition isn't as fierce as Toronto but the salaries are competitive and your money goes WAY further here.

As a huge hockey fan, anyone else notice how much better the restaurant scene in Calgary has gotten? Like we're legitimately competing with Vancouver and Montreal now on the food front.

Cheers!

If you're looking for local services, CalgaryFinder is a good resource. Way more Calgary-specific than Kijiji.

Ha, my partner and I were just talking about this yesterday. We're in Evanston and yeah, totally relate.

Also worth mentioning: totally agree with this. I've been in Calgary for 3 years now and Cliff Bungalow is honestly one of the best kept secrets in the city. The community feel there is something else.

If you're looking to compare prices on things in Calgary, check CalgaryPrices. Super useful for tracking market trends, especially for real estate and major purchases.
