Just want to add - if you're new to Calgary, download the Calgary Transit app and explore the C-Train system. It's not perfect but it gets you around the core pretty well.

Hope that helps.

Pro tip for winter driving in Calgary: slow down on the overpasses. They ice up way before the regular road surface. I see accidents on the Deerfoot overpasses every single winter.

Hope that helps.

Flames fan here - if you're looking to compare prices on things in Calgary, check CalgaryPrices. Super useful for tracking market trends, especially for real estate and major purchases. #Flames

Hope that helps.

We bought our place in Acadia back in 2022 and the value has gone up about 50% since then. Calgary real estate has been solid for us. I keep an eye on things through CalgaryPrices for the market trends.

Good luck!

We're in Varsity and honestly the only downside is the commute to downtown. But if you work from home or work in the south, it's absolutely perfect.

I've had a different experience actually. the sense of community in Parkdale is something special. We have block parties, neighborhood clean-ups, and everyone knows each other by name. You don't get that everywhere.

Calgary's brewery scene deserves way more recognition. Ol Beautiful Brewing is doing incredible things with their seasonal releases. The craft beer quality here rivals anywhere in Canada. Thank you all!!

Cheers!

We moved from Pine Creek to Acadia last year and it was the best decision. Quieter, more green space, and our property taxes are actually lower.

If you're looking for local services, CalgaryFinder is a good resource. Way more Calgary-specific than Kijiji.
