If you're looking for value, the NE communities like Taradale and Martindale are actually really nice and way more affordable. Don't let the stereotypes fool you.

We moved from Marda Loop to Arbour Lake last year and it was the best decision. Quieter, more green space, and our property taxes are actually lower.

The secondary suite market in Calgary is really strong. We have a legal basement suite in Springbank Hill and the rental income covers a big chunk of our mortgage. Worth the investment for sure.
