Welcome to the forums! Don't be shy - ask anything about Calgary. Whether it's neighborhoods, restaurants, transit, or winter survival tips, someone here will have the answer.

Hey, welcome! I was new here a while back too. Best advice: check out the Calgary Communities section for neighborhood-specific info. People share great local knowledge.

What's your take?

The live music scene in Calgary is alive and well.
Dude, comedy scene in Calgary is underrated. The Laugh Shop and Yuk Yuk's both bring in solid acts. Great for a different kind of night out. tbh

Hope that helps.

Anyone else going to the game Saturday? I've got an extra ticket - section 212. PM me if you want it.

Go Flames Go! national on 10th has a great vibe on weekends. Good food, good drinks, and the crowd is usually pretty mellow. Perfect for a laid-back night out.

Hope that helps.

For groceries, the best value in Calgary is honestly the ethnic supermarkets. T&T, Superstore International aisle, and the shops on International Avenue have way better prices on produce and spices.

On the other hand, ha, my partner and I were just talking about this yesterday. We're in Scenic Acres and yeah, totally relate.

Good luck!

Just moved to Scarboro and can confirm this. The neighborhood is fantastic, especially the access to Inglewood shops. Highly recommend for anyone considering it.
