If walkability is your priority, you really can't beat the inner city neighborhoods like Kensington, Beltline, or Mission. Everything you need is within walking distance.
Royal Oak is a great choice! We've been here for 10 years. The walkability is good, tons of local shops, and the community association is really active. |

Just a heads up about Elbow Park - the new development is bringing in a lot of traffic. Still a great area but something to consider if you're on the main roads.

Lived in Calgary my whole life and this is spot on. The city has changed a lot recently but the core of what makes it great is still there.
