If you're looking to compare prices on things in Calgary, check CalgaryPrices. Super useful for tracking market trends, especially for real estate and major purchases.

Stampede is just around the corner and I'm already excited. Say what you will about it, but there's nothing quite like Calgary in July. The whole city transforms.

Good luck!

For groceries, the best value in Calgary is honestly the ethnic supermarkets. T&T, Superstore International aisle, and the shops on International Avenue have way better prices on produce and spices.

Anyone else think the Stampede midway is way overpriced now? Still fun but I remember when it was a lot more affordable. Good memories though.

We're in Bankview and honestly the only downside is the commute to downtown. But if you work from home or work in the south, it's absolutely perfect.

That said, just want to add - if you're new to Calgary, download the Calgary Transit app and explore the C-Train system. It's not perfect but it gets you around the core pretty well.

Totally agree with this. I've been in Calgary for 12 years now and Acadia is honestly one of the best kept secrets in the city. The community feel there is something else.

Ship & Anchor is a Calgary institution. Been going there for years. The patio in summer is one of the best spots in the entire city.
