The Battle of Alberta never gets old. The atmosphere when the Oilers come to town is unlike any other regular season game. Pure electricity.

Based on my research, took my daughter to her first Flames game last week. Seeing her face light up when they scored was absolutely priceless. Creating a new generation of fans!

Best seats at the Saddledome on a budget: upper bowl press level, center ice. You can see the whole play develop. Way better than being in the corner lower bowl.

What do you all think?

I'd recommend driving through Saddle Ridge at different times of day before you commit. Traffic patterns and noise levels can vary a lot between morning and evening.

Good luck!

Just saw an amazing show at the Jack Singer Concert Hall. Calgary's arts scene doesn't get enough credit. The Calgary Philharmonic is world class.

Hope that helps.

Been thinking about this a lot lately. Calgary really does punch above its weight for a city its size. Great food, great outdoors, friendly people, reasonable cost of living.
