Making my money work for me

I've been thinking a lot about making my money work for me, you know? I've got a bit saved up, and it's just sitting there. So, I'm considering investing it to see if I can multiply it. Do you have any suggestions or advice on where to start? I'm a bit new to this, so any help would be appreciated.
