TELUS SGS3 + Koodo SIM = this cannot possibly be LTE

i know this is technically a Koodo issue (though the same network), but would really appreciate any input here hardware-wise, if anyone has any. the short of it is: stock TELUS SGS3 + Koodo SIM = crappy LTE speeds. was on "4G"/HSPA before Koodo turned on LTE, was getting 10Mbps down, 2-3Mbps up....
