What happens if I try to do HUP on a line that has Rogers Stick flex plan?

Was checking up on upgrade eligibility, and out of curiosity checked the number associated with data stick plan. It's not on contract (purchased the stick myself from kijiji) and any phone I choose, does not have any sort of fees (except for the phone price itself). What would happen lol? How...
