Default Telus boost (round "pucks") devices as Ethernet "drop"

Can the round wifi boost "pucks" be configured as a wireless bridge? Eg, can a connection be made between the unused ethernet jack of a boost device and a switch or desktop computer? I have tried this and it didn't "just work". I am not sure if this is even possible or if additional configuration is required? The configuration options on the mobile app are quite limited and there didn't seem to be a configuration option to configure the boost device as a "bridge".

Thanks in advance,
