The month of March saw the already-bad security situation in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, deteriorate suddenly as gangs appeared to move freely in areas that previously had been considered safe. The spiralling chaos comes at a difficult time for the Trudeau government, as it prepares to welcome U.S. President Joe Biden to Canada.
