Forest thinning could serve multiple purposes in N.W.T.'s battle with climate change

Just south of the N.W.T. border, a First Nation is thinning 7 hectares of forest to protect homes from wildfires. The N.W.T. used the same tool to try to double the carbon storage of pine trees near Sandy Lake this past summer.
