Default Meg Ryan Is Done Talking About Women's Appearances

Meg Ryan isn't interested in discussing aging in Hollywood.

The actor recently shared her thoughts on the subject for Net-A-Porter's Winter Escape issue.

"There are more important conversations than how women look and how they are aging," Ryan said, according to People. "I love my age. I love my life right now. I love what I know about. I love the person I've become, the one I've evolved into.

"We get stuck in these conversations about looks and hair color and our roots," she continued. "It's interesting and funny for five minutes, but it's not that interesting."

Ryan, who was one of the most prominent '90s stars with leading turns in classic Nora Ephron romantic comedies like "When Harry Met Sally" (technically released in 1989, to be fair), "Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've Got Mail," recently returned from a break from the spotlight with her directorial debut "Ithaca," which began hitting film festivals earlier this year.

For the project, the actor and director reunited with her Ephron co-star Tom Hanks, who served as executive producer. The two also briefly share screen time.

“He makes a little announcement to the crowd and says, 'Thank you for being here and helping out my friend,'” Ryan recalled to Deadline of Hanks on set of the film. “I mean there’s so much good Capra-esque will in the making of it."
