Post Hillcrest mine disaster remembered 100 years later
Exactly 100 years ago today, Crowsnest Pass was rocked by an explosion in the Hillcrest coal mine that killed 189 men. It's the deadliest mining disaster in Canada's history, and local residents gathered today to remember the loss.
