Yo, pro tip: a lot of the best restaurants in Calgary offer cheaper menus during Stampede week. Counter-intuitive but the locals know to eat out during that week.

Speaking from experience, calgary's brewery scene deserves way more recognition. Thai Sa-On is doing incredible things with their seasonal releases. The craft beer quality here rivals anywhere in Canada. Hope that helps!
