Bringing a slider to Bell

So it looks like I can't bring a Sprint or Verizon slider to Bell, but are there any other options? I tried ICS with a S3 but returned it, and now the XT860's Gingerbread irks me. The third party ROMs that bring ICS to the X860 are buggy. At this point I'm considering the Samsung Captivate...
