Transparent http proxy on Telus while tethered to iPhone 3G?

I've noticed a new problem in the past month; it seems that when I tether my Mac to my iPhone 3G I'll often get http error 503 "Service Unavailable" when I try to surf the web. The error message says something about port 3128, which suggests that Telus is sending my requests through a transparent...
