Default Catholic bishops denounce threats to religious freedom

Canada's Roman Catholic bishops say religious voices have a right to be heard in public debates. In a 12-page pastoral letter, they also encourage civil disobedience when public policy runs afoul of religious beliefs, citing abortion, contraception and gay marriage as examples.
