Default FS: Vintage Speakers ~ New Large Advent's (Calgary, Alberta) $280

1994 25th Anniversary Edition "New Large Advent" 5002's. Classic American acoustic suspension loudspeakers. Very neutral speaks, offering fairly deep and tight bass response but without the mid bass bonk of most ported speakers. Audiophiles claim that the 5002's were the last of the "large Advents", as the company was taken over my Jansen and mainly focused on smaller bookshelf speakers.

These "ode to Henry Kloss" loudspeakers were handmade in Schiller Park, Illinois and still sound better than most offshore speakers today. They sport the famous Advent 10 inch metal basket woofer (minus the Masonite) & a Ferro fluid cooled dome tweeter.

Used, but in good condition. One grill has a little tear in the cloth, and the wood veneer cabinets have some dings and scrapes, but look pretty nice overall. The poly foam driver surrounds are in great condition, and look almost new.
