Default Can Stephen Harper let the Senate 'die on the vine'?
Stephen Harper's majority in the Senate remains intact and by not making appointments to the now unpopular and scandal-ridden upper chamber, he can avoid having to answer uncomfortable questions about patronage and power, and perhaps, expenses. But how long can the prime minister hold on?
