Default Tailings pond breach at B.C. mine forces water use ban
Authorities in the Cariboo Regional District in central B.C. have asked residents to stop using local water for everything from recreational activities to drinking and cooking after a breach at a tailings pond at the Mount Polley copper and gold mine contaminated nearby waterways.
