Default NHL players willing to take less in 1st offer to league

The NHL Players' Association's first proposal, termed an alternative offer by executive director Donald Fehr, in the latest round of collective bargaining talks includes a smaller percentage of revenues for players and an expanded revenue sharing program to help struggling teams.
