IHT Rendezvous: References to Afghanistan Are Missing In Action

With the exception of that odd Clint Eastwood interlude, the war in Afghanistan and the U.S. troops fighting there were barely mentioned onstage at the Republican convention - and not at all in Mitt Romney's acceptance speech. Will the Democrats, perhaps sensing an opening, make the war more of an issue at their convention this week?
