Default Why do the Telus SIM card numbers start with 89122?

This question is a bit technical, but I was just curious. Most SIM cards have the IMSI numbers printed on them. Usually it goes like 89-MCC-MNC-SIM_ID, for example 89-302-320-23456789 would be SIM #23456789 on country 302 (canada) and provider 320 (mobilicity). Indeed if you look at a Rogers...
