Default Owner out thousands on trashed home, but vacation rental company doesn't pay for damage
A homeowner found out the hard way that not all vacation rental companies have the same policies when it comes to covering losses from damage or theft. Carmen Carrubba's very first guests vandalized her home, but HomeAway says it doesn't cover costs and that homeowners are responsible for screening guests.
