Default Bear In Swimming Pool Hasn't Quite Mastered Surfing

Like others of its kind, this bear loves swimming. However, it looks like he's not quite mastered the art of hanging ten.

These bears live at the Single Vision animal sanctuary in Melrose, Florida, a nonprofit organization that cares for a variety of big cats, bears, primates and other creatures.

The big, brown swimming bear's name is Bruiser. He climbs up the pool's ladder, takes a dip and lays a paw or two on the surfboard before jumping out. He shakes off the water, then quickly goes back in. Bruiser's buddy -- a Florida black bear named Honey -- doesn't look too interested in swimming at the moment.

The Huffington Post reached out to Single Vision for more information about the bears, but the organization didn't immediately respond. But Barcroft TV caught up with Single Vision owner Carl Bovard a while ago, back when Bruiser was only 10 months old. It seems that the Syrian brown bear has always had a penchant for the pool, even if his surfing skills haven't improved much.

“They love being in and playing around in the water," Bovard told Barcroft. “Honey likes the water, too, but she doesn’t take to it quite like Bruiser.”

There have been numerous cases of bears making a splash in people's pools. They're usually not invited, but Bruiser seems to have this pool all for himself.
