Mother, Wife, Author, Actress, Comedian (in no order except all at once), Ali Wentworth juggles it all. In her latest book, Happily Ali After, the multitalented Wentworth dishes advice on all of her many pursuits, but not without a fair share of comic experiences, self-discovery, and the ever-changing quest for true happiness.

In our laughter-filled conversation together, Ali shared her philosophies on managing all these roles, in addition to the real-life stories that inspired them. She mentions reluctantly going a blind date on the request of a friend, only to look across the table and realize it wasn't just political analyst George Stephanopolous staring across at her - it was her soul-mate. "Like [finding] a good melon, I knew," says Wentworth, and sure enough she and George were engaged just three quick months later.

Her marriage is like any other though, defined by both her and George's individuality and their ability to compromise. She and Stephanopolous are like "oil and water", but that doesn't divide them- it makes things "always exciting". Her key to a marriage like this? "Humor". She also mentions that it doesn't hurt to be married to a "sex icon" like George, although public discussion of that life is, as she learned first hand, "off-limits".

And when it comes to parenting, Wentworth doesn't stop juggling. She says she's like a "lioness" with her "cubs" when they're being bullied, but when comes to conflict resolution, she's more mediator than warrior. When one of her daughters was having a problem with another girl at school, she did not contact the teachers, instead inviting the other mother and daughter "over for tea". She claims to not be involved in politics, and leaves that for her husband, but with instincts like those, it seems like it could be another potential hat to wear.
