TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — The Israeli military says suspected Jewish assailants set fire to two Palestinian homes in the West Bank, killing a child and critically injuring four people.
Israeli police says the child was a year and a half old. The military says the assailants entered the village of Duma early Friday where they torched the houses and scrawled Hebrew graffiti. It says troops were scouring the area searching for the suspects. It's rare for anyone to be killed in such attacks. Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, a military spokesman, called the incident "nothing short of a barbaric act of terrorism." -- This feed and its contents are the property of The Huffington Post, and use is subject to our terms.
