Default Gay Couple's Wedding Channels 'Charlie And The Chocolate Factory'

Mark Traverso and Conor Walton say that "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" has been a cornerstone of their entertaining style throughout their eight years together. In the vein of Roald Dahl's 1964 classic, they say friends and family have gotten accustomed to an "abundance of desserts, cakes, cookies, cupcakes, candies and chocolates" at spectacular parties the pair have hosted in their Florida home.

So it came as no surprise when the couple opted for a similarly scrumdiddlyumptious theme when they tied the knot June 19 at the Addison in Boca Raton. After a stylish ceremony and glitzy reception, Traverso, a marketing executive, and Walton, a stage actor, celebrated their union with a spirited afterparty that paid tribute to the beloved 1971 movie adaptation of Dahl's book, starring Gene Wilder, complete with a cast of Oompa Loompas.

When same-sex marriage became legal in Florida earlier this year, Traverso, 54, and Walton, 31, decided it was their cue to wed. The duo married exactly one week before the Supreme Court's June 26 ruling, which legalized marriage equality nationwide.

"We still can't believe it’s legal," the couple told The Huffington Post in an email. "Getting our license the night before it was legal at the Delray courthouse with hundreds of other LGBT couples was a great feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction."

Congrats, gentlemen -- may your love be as constant and eternal as an Everlasting Gobstopper!
