MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minneapolis Fire Department reports that the ceiling of a downtown concert venue has partially collapsed, injuring several people.
The department tweeted that crews evacuated First Avenue and were checking the building late Wednesday night. The department said three to four people were injured and added later two were taken to a hospital for evaluation. A concert goer tells the Minneapolis Star Tribune the band had just finished its fourth song when the musicians suddenly ran offstage. Todd Johnson says he saw part of the ceiling had fallen and water was streaming down. He says another piece fell about a minute later.
