iPhone 5 cannot hold LTE signal?

Grabbed an iPhone 5. If I toggle airplane mode I can get LTE and pretty quick speedtests to boot. Problem is it won't hold LTE for more than a minute. Drops down to 3G and will not jump back to LTE. Anyone else having this issue?
