Charlie Puth And Meghan Trainor Quash Romance Rumors After AMAs Makeout

Remember when Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor pretty much made out on stage at the American Music Awards on Sunday?

That's, uh, quite the kiss -- and it definitely means they're together, right?

Um, no. After the awards show ended, Puth took to Twitter to get ahead of any rumors that would inevitably pop up after the pair puckered up.

Reps for Puth and Trainor also told Entertainment Weekly the pair are "just friends," but TMZ isn't convinced, since Puth told one of the site's cameramen that his and Trainor's makeout session was "very real."

Meanwhile, Trainor couldn't resist posting a photo of Puth getting handsy, but made her romantic status clear in her caption. "All about dat ass grab doe @charlieputh proud of you Charlie #imsingle"
