Default Jeb Bush Enlists Medal Of Honor Recipients In New Ad

WASHINGTON -- Jeb Bush's presidential campaign launched its latest ad on Tuesday, featuring previous Medal of Honor recipients speaking about why the former governor of Florida is ready to take on the role of commander in chief.

"This is not a reality show. This is serious business," retired Marine Corps Maj. Gen. James Livingston says in the 60-second spot, a veiled reference to outsider candidates with no experience in elected office, such as real estate mogul Donald Trump. "Jeb Bush has the experience and builds leadership skills. He represents the beliefs of this country."

The ad is scheduled to go on the air in the early primary state of New Hampshire this week and is backed by a $660,000 cable buy.

The presidential hopeful has in recent weeks placed a greater focus on national security, urging the Obama administration to take a more aggressive approach to defeating the Islamic State. Last month, in a speech at a military college in South Carolina, Bush called for sending additional U.S. ground combat troops to Syria and Iraq.

The governor has struggled to gain traction in New Hampshire, however, a primary that was instrumental in advancing the presidential campaigns of both his brother and father before him. According to the HuffPost Pollster polling average, Bush currently ranks sixth in the Granite State. And he missed an opportunity to get a foothold over the weekend, when the state's largest newspaper, the New Hampshire Union Leader, endorsed a different GOP contender with executive experience, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
