What is wrong with Rogers' Sony Xperia S???

So I've got a brand new in a box (with screen saver still unpeeled and everything) Rogers Sony Xperia S and thankfully it works just with with my Chatr sim-card, but I might be travelling to Europe soon and I want it sim-unlocked. I've tried all the usual suspects including the local sponsor...
