Default How Faith Creates Happiness

Know in this moment that all is well.

Beneath the chaos and confusion of the outside circumstances of the world, know a peace that is everlasting, a peace we can tap into at any moment we choose. When the world is whirling around us, we can choose to remember this truth.

All is truly well.

To believe this is to have faith. This world is magnificent, complex, and sometimes very confusing. Having faith isn't easy, but it is a tool that once found, will be used like crazy. It is the tool that can fix any problem at any time. It is a tool that manufactures happiness.
Ernest Holmes, in the Science of Mind writes:

In order to have faith, we must have a conviction that all is well. In order to keep faith, we must allow nothing to enter our thought which will weaken this conviction.
In order to have such conviction, first we practice. As we practice, we become quicker and quicker to recognize and remember this truth, which in turn creates happiness. So how do we practice faith? Do we have to go to church or a synagogue? Do we have to talk to a priest or a rabbi? Do we have to get on my knees and pray? While these things work for many people, this isn't necessarily the way to practice faith. Lots of church goers don't really have the kind of faith we're talking about here.

Faith is personal. It's up to us how to believe that all is well.

Is it simply closing our eyes, breathing deeply and saying aloud, All is well? Is it calling a friend and being reminded with an affirmative prayer together? Maybe it's slowing down and taking a few days off from the busyness that we are all so infected with.

Sometimes taking stock in what is helps with having faith. In other words, can we choose to see how many things have already worked for our good? Can we look at our lives and see how all the twists and turns led us to this very moment?

My song, "Flying on Faith," is all about how once we do find that faith, that deep peace that all is well, we grow wings.

I invite you to have a little bit of faith, and know that all is well, all is perfect, you are ok, and life is good.
