Default A New Nirvana Track Just Surfaced

In 1992, Dave Grohl wrote a song he called "Marigold," a version of which would later show up as a Nirvana B-side to the 1993 single "Heart-Shaped Box."

According to the YouTube channel, RareNirvana -- which surfaces forgotten material from the band -- Grohl recorded a separate version of the track during Nirvana's "In Utero" album session. In this mix, Grohl is the lead singer, despite the official version featuring the typical frontman, Kurt Cobain.

Although it is unclear when exactly Nirvana recorded this version, the channel believes it was in February 1993 at Minnesota's Pachyderm Recording Studio.

Consequence of Sound claims that Cobain still sings the low harmony on the track.
