Default Blue Jays let manager John Farrell go to Red Sox

The Blue Jays released manager John Farrell on Sunday, allowing him to agree to a three-year contract with the Red Sox as part of a deal that also sent infielder Mike Aviles to Toronto and pitcher David Carpenter to Boston.
