YouTube’s Screen Junkies are back with a new honest trailer, and this time, they’re taking on 2015’s biggest blockbuster, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
The video, which has been watched more than 2.2 million times to date, is a no holds barred retelling of the space opera in which protagonist Rey (“how is she so good at everything?!”); villain Kylo Ren (“he acts like a goth kid who can’t find his eyeliner”); and even Han Solo (“[he looks] really old”) cannot escape criticism. The movie’s plot gets particularly skewered in the clip. “Gear up for a film so desperate to re-capture the magic of the first ‘Star Wars,’ it practically is the first ‘Star Wars,’” quipped the voice-over, referring to the 1977 film “Star Wars: A New Hope.” Watch the entire honest trailer above, but be warned, it’s not for the spoiler-averse. -- This feed and its contents are the property of The Huffington Post, and use is subject to our terms.
