Bluetooth icon disappearing on iPhone 6s Plus and iPad Air 2

Hi, Recently I've noticed that, if not connected to anything, the Bluetooth icon will disappear from the menu bar on both of my iOS devices. If I open Control Center, it comes back for a little while. Does anyone know why this is, if it's some kind of bug or not? Thanks!
