The stabbing deaths of five young people at a house party was originally called Calgary's "worst mass murder" by then-police Chief Rick Hanson. But although Matthew de Grood, 24, faces five counts of first-degree murder, it is unlikely he will become a convicted criminal and be sent to prison.
