s3 Jelly Bean update - no voice outputs?

Hi there. Just updated my phone with Jelly Bean tonight (got the Software Update prompt!). I'm very happy with what I see so far, but when I go into Google Now (the part I was really waiting for!) and speak a command I get the response cards, but no voice relaying the response to me. I've tried...
