Slimline 2 Remote

Only buttons that work on the remote is the power button, which turns on the PVR and the TV, and the volume. Other buttons are null as well as the buttons on the PVR.
Haven't been a year yet when we got the box and remote. I changed the batteries and even reset the remote to its factory settings and still nothing.

Has anyone had this problem before and how did you solve it?
