I've been having problems with my 5G wifi SSD disappearing for 2 minutes, almost daily. It affects all devices, so not a computer issue. 2.4G network is unaffected. It's not a signal issue since devices are within 10 feet, and unlikely an interference issue. I've contacted Telus support a number of times and recently had the modem replaced to rule out the modem, but it persists. I have been keeping track of the times, which are not consistent at all. It will come back by itself after 2 minutes.
I am befuddled by this, as I am a computer technician with over 25 years experience, although my expertise with 5G wifi is admittedly limited. I've seen similar issues with older Actiontec products that have been corrected by firmware, and I feel that this particular modem needs a firmware upgrade, but apparently none is available.
Does anyone have any insight about this, or similar problems?
