I have been experiencing an ongoing issue with the WAN IP assigned by Telus. The Telus Actiontec T1200H router I have is currently bridged providing internet to my Araknis AN-300-RT-4L2W router. I will loose internet connection periodically, if I refresh/renew the outside IP the internet will come back up but will again drop after some time. This is intermittent and does not happen and regular intervals. I have only been able to find two way to stabilize the connection. If I connect another port of the bridged Telus router to WAN2 on my Araknis router or If I unbridged the Telus Router and add my Araknis routers assigned DHCP IP to the Actiontec DMZ. I'm not satisfied with either of these solutions as this limits my ability to establish a reliable VPN to my home network. I also tried to bypass the Actiontec completely and connect directly to the Alcatel-Lucent fiber optic router with the same result. I have been doing a TON of online research on this subject and have found that while many Telus clients are experiencing the same type of issue no one has been able to offer any solution. This is alleged to be related to the fact that Telus is constantly cycling their assigned residential IP addresses but of course no one from Telus will actually come out and say this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
