Hello!
My family recently signed up for internet and TV service with Telus in our new home. However, a problem arose; the router is unable to be in my room, and my PC does not have wi-fi capability (previously, I've always had ethernet access via cable). Unless I ran a long cat cable across the hallway, I didn't have many options. Luckily, the technician who set us up had a solution; he paired a VEN501 access point with the router, and I was then able to move the AP to my room and connect my PC to it via ethernet. This worked for a few weeks, but recently the AP has dropped it's connection to the router and my attempts to pair them through WPS have failed. I've been noticing a distinct lack of documentation around using the VEN501 like this, though I'm surprised. It worked like a charm! Is there a special method to connecting the AP back to the router? Thank you for any help you can provide. More... |
