Before I had Fibre, I bridged my Asus router directly via Port1 from the Actiontec in the same room. Worked like a charm, all laptops and desktop could communicate with each other easily.
After I got Fibre installed, I decided to move my Asus router to more central living room for better wireless coverage. I have my Nokia ONT fibre box hooked up to my Actiontec T3200M in my corner room. In the living room, I have a coaxial to ethernet switch provided by Telus tech, which splits ethernet to my main Optik TV PVR and my Asus AC3100. My desktop computer is hooked up to the Actiontec directly (I only want to hardwire the desktop). Actiontec is accessible by any device via the default 192.168.1.254 address, as my Asus router is doing DHCP with 192.168.1.X addresses.
However, I can't access the Asus router (set as 192.168.2.1) from my desktop and I can no longer do any network shares of my desktop drives. Are there any configurations possible via manual router/modem settings to make this a cohesive network like before?
