Anyone tried/succeeded in using 'curl' to login to Actiontec t3200m?

I want to be able to download the statistics from the router, but the t3200m requires admin login to do this (why?). I've tried using 'wget' but without success. It appears that 'curl' is the "go to" tool for doing this kind of thing, but it also appears to have a steep learning curve. As I just want my stats, becoming a 'curl' expert is not something I really want to do.

Has anyone done this? Or tried and been defeated? Any advice is appreciated. Thx.
