Default Soaring steel prices eat into company profits, drive up building costs — and possibly what consumers pay
Construction companies and automotive manufacturers are among businesses having a hard time keeping up with the soaring price of steel, and one industry member predicts the increases for the material won't end until sometime in the first quarter of 2022.
